Goodbye Family Medicine

Kenny has finished another rotation! Family Medicine was a great experience for him and he really enjoyed working with his DR. He got to work one on one with the patients and explore his warm, welcoming, and personal side as he did his interviews. The patients and Dr. loved him as I knew they would! In this rotation I was nearing the end of my pregnancy and Kenny was able to come to the last 6 appointments with me! It was so good to have him there. Because of this, there was a lot of talk about our baby girl and when she would come. They started up a little pool to see who was closest to her date... We will see who wins! Hopefully not the 2 people who chose AFTER my due date! HA

On to Internal Medicine for 12 weeks:)

So proud of you Dr. Q

Love is patient

Love is Patient

This is a verse I have quoted many times in my life, but these days I am finding a brand new meaning to it all. Love is patient... loving my little girl so much that all I have is to be patient until she comes. For those of you who have children I know you can relate, were at the end oly 2 more weeks to her due date. Which would be fine IF I had any hope to think she would actually be here by then! Kaylee is already the love of my life and ALL Kenny and I can talk about, what will she look like? Who's personality will she have? Will she be a good sleeper? Eater? Who will she become? She already consumes us and she is not even here yet.. which is why I am learning. LOVE is PATIENT. We love Kaylee more than we ever thought we could and yet we have to be PATIENT to meet her and watch who she will become. I guess God had many meanings when writing this verse, but today this is what it means to me.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Swans Visit

The Swan family are very close friends of ours. I have been babysitting for them since their oldest Jakob was 2 and he is now 11! The two oldest children were in our wedding and we treasure the whole family as if we truly were all family. They have done so much for Kenny and I and we are so blesses to have them be apart of our lives. We got a short and quick visit from them this July and took many pictures!

Baseball Season

Kenny and I love going to baseball games especially the MN Twins! However being in another state the whole baseball season makes it hard to see our favorite team. BUT we got lucky and they played the White Sox...AND we got tickets! It was such a fun time getting to experience another stadium and still watch our team.. probably didn't hurt that we WON!

Mom's Visit

I love my MAMA! It had been 2 months since I had seen her last and I was counting down the days until she was able to come. She came got to come over the 4th of July and we had so much fun! We went shopping and she spoiled Kaylee Jo, went downtown and walked around, went to the taste of Chicago and had a BBQ with friends on the 4th! It was busy but so refreshing to have her here. I can't believe the next time I see her I will be a MAMA too. She has taught me so much about what a mother- daughter relationship should be and I can only pray that Kaylee loves me as much as I love my mom. She is so wonderful:) I am blessed..
